Kotes. Kote-magote. Kotato. Dakotinator.
He may be called by many names, but within the multitudes he is one man: Kota. Master of Machines. Counselor of Coffee. Emperor of Espresso.
From nearly the day we began, Kota has ducked around and found out. We interviewed him without even reading the application, since he carried the prized possession of a Seattle area code. After the interview, we asked if he could put on an apron and work RIGHT THEN. He did.
Kota has traveled with us across the country growing White Duck, ventured nationwide on his own to various destinations to learn more and more about how coffee and its equipment works, and now heads up our service and tech division. On any given day you might see him fixing or installing equipment in bakeries and cafes across West Central Florida, including Disney World, the Vinoy and Don Cesar, and even our Tampa Bay military bases like SoComm and CentComm.
AND TONIGHT you can catch him slinging drinks at the Little Road location until close, ON HIS BIRTHDAY NO LESS, so go say hi if you’ve missed this bloke.
Kota digs pop punk emo rock, sports a nifty style, feels more comfy at Ren Faire than in a pop show, and loves all things Asian food.
He’s a good one, a huge part of who we are and are becoming, and we’re constantly proud to call him a friend.

VIBING WITH TIRAMISU, today’s hidden gem flavor feature.
Tiramisu is a wild cacophony of taste experiences, with the original dessert inspiration having everything from vanilla to coffee to cocoa to CHEESE to something actually called lady fingers. It’s incredible.
For you today though, Katelyn, Branden, Sage and Sam whipped up a Tiramisu Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Iced Latte with Caramel Drizzle. That’s real.

IT’S PAIGE’S (AKA PEJ) BIRTHDAY.
Paige is a person you can’t help but smile around. She’s witty, quirky in the best way, hilarious, and quick-witted.
We’ve had the honor of being on a team with Paige for over 2 years now, and can tell you for sure we are a better place for having her with us.
One of the best things that can happen to you is spending time around Paige. She once drew a portrait of each and every single duck on a cup. She cares, she laughs, SHE IS PEJ.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RILEY!
Riley’s one of the good ones. A long-haired bloke in a low rider Toyota, sometimes slinging drinks, sometimes melting metal together in his backyard or garage.
We’ve been lucky to be on a team with Riley for a few years now, and think the world of him. His easy-going vibes paired with a constant willingness to do the extra helpful thing are a true pleasure to be around.
