The Leva S is La Marzocco's lever espresso machine, rethought so a café no longer has to give up safety to brew with a lever. The lever group is in full view, so guests can watch the mechanism at work. La Marzocco says the design takes almost 50% less force than a traditional lever machine, and it adds a safety clutch system. The barista can adjust both the pre-infusion pressure and the maximum extraction pressure the lever piston delivers, and La Marzocco reports more than 2,500 hours of testing on the mechanical system.
Where the Leva X has a digital display for each group, the Leva S has dedicated pressure gauges that show the pressure on the coffee during extraction. It has two boilers, one for coffee and one for steam, each with PID temperature control.
For a digital display and its own coffee boiler on every group, see the La Marzocco Leva X.
